Waste collection days change in the Lille metropolis from this Monday

There will be a change in the waste collection schedule for the inhabitants of 95 municipalities of the European Metropolis of Lille. From this Monday, November 7, the historical partner of the MEL, Esterra, is no longer the only company to be able to pick up the garbage cans of individuals.

Change for almost all municipalities

Esterra continues its activity in 34 municipalities of the north-eastern territory, which according to the company represents the largest waste collection area in France. And now it is the Deverra company that will take care of the collection in the southwestern part of the territory of the metropolis. This change modifies the collection days “for almost all municipalities“, indicates the MEL on its website
.

There will be no change for the inhabitants of intramural Lille. Esterra and Deverra informed their respective customers of the new schedule through leaflets dropped in mailboxes.

In 2021, 391,000 tonnes of waste were collected in the Lille metropolitan area.
