The Longueuil agglomeration police department (SPAL) declared on its Facebook page that it was assisting the Longueuil agglomeration fire safety service (SSIAL) regarding a fire that broke out at the Center Charlotte-Tassé Vocational Training Center on Lavallée Street.
The center was closed for renovations, he said.
The fire did not cause any injuries, indicates the SPAL.
Evacuations were carried out in the area, including the Marcelle-Robidoux elementary school. The students were transported to the Carillon school and everyone is well, we were assured.
On social networks, the Center de services scolaire Marie-Victorin confirmed that there were no injuries and that all the children were safe.
“No other establishment in our school service center is affected by this event,” reads the center’s Facebook page.
The SSIAL did not respond to a message from The Canadian Press.
