Expectations were high, Friday evening, in the hall of the Quebec City Convention Center where the head of the PLQ delivered her opening speech at the 34e congress of his party, in front of hundreds of activists gathered for the weekend to give a facelift to the 150-year-old political formation, a few months before the election deadline.

If she takes power in October 2022, Mme Anglade therefore wants to bank on the development of green hydrogen, which is produced by the electrolysis of water.
“The Liberal Party is the energy of Quebec,” said the leader of the party, estimating that the green hydrogen sector had a “titanic” potential on a global scale, to the tune of 15,000 billion.
Hence the importance for Quebec, she said, to position itself quickly so as not to be overtaken by others.
An Angladish government would nationalize the production and distribution of green hydrogen. This major project would require private and public investments in the order of 100 billion by 2050.
Mme Anglade makes no secret of the fact that she wants her party to take an uncompromising environmental turn, centered on energy efficiency. She says that Quebec must cut two-thirds of its energy waste within 10 years.
“What we need in Quebec is a real social project in which each person can identify with himself. At 21e century, the planetary issue is the issue of climate change. There is a Quebec response that we are able to give to this climate issue, ”the Liberal leader said earlier in the press.
On Saturday, activists must study and adopt a series of resolutions to serve as a basis for the next PLQ electoral platform.
On Sunday, the chief will deliver a closing speech, intended to whip the ardor of the troops, who will be invited to deploy all possible energy in the coming months, in the hope of piercing the armor of François Legault and his Coalition futur Quebec (CAQ), whose popularity is unabated.
