The Canaries did it! On a ballot between the Europa League play-offs and those of the Europa League conference, FC Nantes won against an Olympiakos team already eliminated (0-2), Thursday, November 3. The Egyptian Mostafa Mohamed, well found by Ludovic Blas, managed to break the Greek lock (79th) in the Piraeus volcano. Before the roles are reversed at the end of the match for the goal of the break (89th).
This result, combined with Qarabag’s draw at home against Friborg at the same time (1-1), ensures Nantes second place in their group. Antoine Kombouaré’s men are therefore qualified for the C3 play-offs and will face a team transferred from the Champions League. Among the potential adversaries: FC Barcelona, Juventus or Ajax Amsterdam. Enough to turn the Beaujoire yellow with pleasure.
