Buffalo would add four goals at 13:24, including two in an abandoned net.

Alex Tuch, JJ Peterka and Kyle Okposo were the other scorers for the Sabers, who won their last three games.

The club will look to keep that momentum going in Raleigh on Friday.

Casey DeSmith blocked 26 shots for the Penguins, who have lost six straight.

The team will try to do better on Saturday at home against Seattle.
