The new series The Village of Three Pinesadapted from the detective novels by Louise Penny with Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, will be broadcast from December 2 on Prime Video.

The broadcaster also took the opportunity to unveil the trailer for the series which will have eight episodes of one hour each. Two episodes will be uploaded each week from December 2 to 23.
It is Alfred Molina who plays chief inspector Armand Gamache, whom we will follow during his investigations into cases that disturb the apparently idyllic setting of the fictional village of Three Pines, in the Eastern Townships.
Around him gravitate several recurring characters in the books of the Canadian author, including Sergeant Jean-Guy Beauvoir (played by Rossif Sutherland), Sergeant Isabelle Lacoste (Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers) and Officer Yvette Nichol (Sarah Booth) . Marie-France Lambert, Frank Schorpion, Marcel Jeannin, Georgina Lynn Lightning, Crystle Lightning, Isabel Deroy-Olson and Anna Lambe will also be part of the cast.
Each story is presented over two episodes; the police will notably be called upon to investigate murders as well as the disappearance of Aboriginal women.
The Amazon Studios series, directed by Sam Donovan, Tracey Deer (Beans) and Podz (Daniel Grou), was shot in Montreal and in the regions.
