Only one department in the West, the Channel, remains placed in orange vigilance, Monday, October 31, for risks of “violent winds”, announced Météo France. The meteorological service invites great vigilance in the night until the early morning. First affected by an orange alert, Finistère, Morbihan, Côtes-d’Armor are now placed in yellow vigilance. “The gusts there were much less strong than expected because the Claudio storm had a trajectory further north than expected”, explains Météo France.
“We are expecting in the Manche department and more specifically in the Cotentin region gusts of 90 to 110 km / h inland and up to 110 to 120 km / h along the coast. Subsequently, in the second part of night, the strongest winds will occur at sea then will gain towards Pas de Calais at the end of the night but should remain below the orange vigilance thresholds”details the meteorological service.
