A rain of bombs fell on Ukraine on Monday, October 31, in retaliation for the attack on the Crimean bridge. Energy installations were targeted. Hundreds of cities no longer have water and electricity.

Near a hydroelectric dam of Zaporizhia (Ukraine)an air alert is in progress, Monday, October 31. These energy installations are vital, but they have been partially bombarded by strikes. The attacks were aimed at cutting off water or electricity for civilians. Some Russian missiles were intercepted in time by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense. The attack nevertheless remains massive and thousands of inhabitants find themselves deprived of water and electricity.

A family living in Zaporizhianow lives according to these long cuts. Barely restored, the electricity went out during the interview with the France Télévisions teams. “I believe they want to kill our nation, they want to see us disappear and since no one surrenders, they are taking revenge”expresses the mother of the family. In a hospital, there is no electricity either. The place is for resourcefulness and the generator. “The objective of the Russians: demoralize civilians. Moscow is also trying to make people forget the retreat of its troops”says Maryse Burgotspecial correspondent in Ukraine.
