She regularly experiences waves of cyberbullying against her. “I’ve been on social media for 10 years now. (…) And I think I’m on my 5th unjustified top tweet, where I’m being insulted on the Internet for free because I have ideas to defend”, she explains.
“I testified very quickly, as soon as I could, at the launch of #MeToo, of incest. I was abused by a member of my family circle, for 5 years, when I was a minor. In fact, what is happening is that these people, as I put this video out, start attacking me on this. In the mode: ‘Yeah, I’m sure when your ex-stepfather, he was doing that, you liked, in fact.’ When people attack your story to try to touch you, I, in real life, find them ridiculous, but it exists”, denounces the young woman.
Today, Sindy was able to distance herself from the harassment she was experiencing, and wants to send a message to the other victims. “It doesn’t affect me anymore, look. I’m fine, I’m an accomplished woman, proud of myself, who is an activist, who has fights, who has truths to come out that don’t always please everyone. And that, I really want to say it, I want to emphasize it, but you will not always remain in a posture of harassment or cyberharassment. It’s a passage of life, it will stop at some point. And to stop, you have to talk”, she encourages.
