Murder of Justine Vayrac: the results of the autopsy revealed, the version of Lucas L. does not hold

Reported missing on the night of October 23 to 24 after spending the night in a nightclub in Brive, Justine Vayrac is dead. Her body was found after the confession of Lucas L., the man with whom she was last seen alive by her friend Theo. The 21-year-old farmer said he had raped under duress (before retracting and evoking a consented report), killed and buried the body of the young woman not far from the family farm where he works. His indications given to the investigators made it possible to find the body of the victim and to carry out an autopsy to determine the exact causes of death.

Placed in police custody and then in pre-trial detention, Lucas L. had indicated that he had given Justine Vayrac a big punch which would have resulted in death. But according to the medical examiners, it was not a single blow that was struck at the young woman. The autopsy of Justine Vayrac’s body revealed that she had been beaten before being strangled, we learned Monday from a source familiar with the matter. The results of the analyzes intended to determine whether the victim was drugged are not yet known.

During the evening spent in a nightclub in Brive-la-Gaillarde, Justine told her friend Theo that her champagne had a funny taste, assuming that she had been drugged. For the moment, the results of the toxicological analyzes are not known and have not firmly determined any contamination with GHB. Theo, worried about his friend, had left the young woman in the hands of Lucas L, present in the parking lot, whom Justine had already met several times.

According to several testimonies from those close to him, Lucas L. was as kind and involved in his work as he was violent and impulsive: “He is someone who finds it difficult to manage his emotions when he is told no. When he plays football when he loses a match, he can get angry until he beat up players from the opposing team“said one of her friends. The psychological profile of Lucas L. also remains to be determined.

Lucas L. remains presumed innocent of the charges against him until the case is finally closed.
