QMJHL | The Remparts crush the Voltigeurs

(Quebec) Zachary Bolduc continued his excellent streak with four assists and the Quebec Remparts crushed the Drummondville Voltigeurs 7-1 on Sunday.

Bolduc, a first-round pick of the St. Louis Blues, helped on the team’s first three goals to extend his streak to seven games with at least one point. During this streak, he collected 19 points.

Remparts captain Théo Rochette had two goals and an assist for at least one point in a sixth straight game.

Pier-Olivier Roy scored a goal and three assists, while Davis Cooper, Édouard Carrier, Nathan Gaucher and Zachary Marquis-Laflamme all scored once for the Quebec squad.

Tied for the top of the overall QMJHL standings with a 12-1-1 record, Patrick Roy’s men went undefeated in regulation for a 10e game in a row. They haven’t lost on a regular basis since Oct. 2.

William Rousseau saved 27 of 28 pucks aimed at him for a fourth consecutive victory.

Jérémy Lapointe deprived Rousseau of his third shutout of the campaign when he took advantage of a power play to beat the Remparts goalkeeper in the fourth minute of the game.

Kevyn Brassard started the game for the Voltigeurs and allowed five goals on 19 shots. In relief, Jacob Goobie yielded twice on 27 shots.

The Drummondville team saw their three-game winning streak cut short.

Alexandre Blais set the table for all of his team’s goals and the Rimouski Océanic defeated the Charlottetown Islanders 5-1.

Huskies 8–Forers 2

Daniil Bourash threaded the needle four times to guide the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies to an easy 8-2 win over the Val-d’Or Foreurs.

Sea Dogs 2–Wildcats 3 (Fus.)

Vincent Labelle was the lone scorer in the shootout and the Moncton Wildcats beat the Saint John Sea Dogs 3-2.

Phoenix 3–Armada 2 (Fus.)

Samuel St-Hilaire blocked Alexis Gendron’s shootout attempt after teammate Joshua Roy found the back of the net, and the Sherbrooke Phoenix defeated the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-2.

Tigers 1–Drakkar 2 (Fus.)

Vincent Collard ended the debate in a shootout and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar triumphed 2-1 against the Victoriaville Tigres.
