A skull discovered in Isère in the search area for the body of Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti

A skull was found on Wednesday October 27, in an area that the gendarmes have been searching since the start of the school year in search of the body of Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti. Expertise remains to be done, but this skull could well be that of this mother who disappeared on May 22, 1986 in Pontcharra (Isère), at the age of 25, while she was distributing free newspapers. In May 2022, a man suspected since the first hours but against whom the gendarmes had found nothing at the time, Yves Chatain, had again been arrested and had confessed to having killed, during a quarrel Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti . The excavation area explored by the gendarmes and that which he had designated as being the place where he had buried the body of the victim.
