(London) The Hollywood studio Disney, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023, presented Thursday in London the events planned in Europe to celebrate this anniversary, with the program in particular a traveling concert where the most famous melodies in the history of the studio.

On October 16, 1923, Walt Disney founded Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, his first animation studio. From the studio, which notably created Babyhas diversified widely, with amusement parks, a streaming platform, etc.
“Over the past 100 years, we’ve seen how Disney has changed, starting with one of the first cartoons with sound (a 1928 Mickey Mouse movie) and now presenting itself through Disney ‘like a streaming service’ , said Nicole Morse, vice president of brand strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the Walt Disney Company, during the presentation of the events planned to mark the anniversary.
“Throughout 2023, Disney will pay tribute to the characters and stories of this first century of wonder and present, under the name Disney 100, a program of festivities”, announced the studio in a press release.
Disney will tour Europe with the Hollywood Sound Orchestra, which will perform the most famous melodies in the studio’s history, including those of The beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins and Encantoas well as excerpts from the Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel universes.
In France, throughout 2023, Disney “is committed to offering 100,000 entertainment experiences” to charities and partner pediatric hospitals.
At Disneyland Paris, on October 16, 2023, visitors “will be entitled to an unprecedented program of festivities, including exclusive character encounters”, promises the studio.
