wellness practitioners removed from the Doctolib site

On the morning of Thursday, October 27, it is still possible to make an appointment with a naturopath on the Doctolib platform. The French leader in making medical appointments, however, has undertaken to strengthen its monitoring. After consultation with the health community, he announced that wellness practitioners who have no recognized medical training will be excluded from the platform.

“Doctolib has been recognized by the 40 players we consulted as a trusted third party in health, and therefore we have a responsibility to provide verified information to patients on Doctolib”explains Stanislas Niox-Chateauco-founder and president of Doctolib. The 5,700 naturopaths, sophrologists and other well-being specialists were therefore excluded. The situation had been denounced by the doctors’ unions for a long time. “These people get a bond of seriousness that does not have to be“, says Dr Jean-Paul Hamon, general practitioner and honorary president of the Federation of Doctors of France. Only practitioners registered in the directory of health professionals will be recorded on the platform.
