Naturopaths, sophrologists… Doctolib will remove 5,700 practitioners from its platform within six months

After the controversy in the summer of 2022 when Internet users reported accounts of naturopaths promoting alternative medicine on Doctolib, the platform decided to clean up. It will withdraw 5,700 practitioners, naturopaths and sophrologists in the next six months to keep only health professionals on its platform, according to information from France Inter.

In August 2022, internet users had reported accounts of alternative medicine practitioners on the platform. In an emergency, Doctolib had chosen to delete 17 accounts of naturopaths. This time, the platform goes much further after six weeks of consultations with 40 stakeholders. Doctolib has chosen to list on its site exclusively the professionals referenced by the health authorities. Consequently, 5,700 practitioners, naturopaths and sophrologists, will be removed from the platform in the next six months.

In concrete terms, 5,700 practitioners practicing well-being professions, who are currently Doctolib users, have been informed by the platform that they will no longer be able to benefit from these services. In accordance with Doctolib’s subscription conditions, the practitioners concerned will benefit from a period of six months allowing them to reorganize their management of appointments.
