To give you an idea, it’s 50 to 80 cents more for a slice of 40 grams. A price that is soaring, because production on farms has fallen: – 30%. In question, the avian flu epidemic and the systematic slaughter of all ducks each time a farm is affected”she explains.
Oysters are also affected by inflation. “It’s always the same story of supply and demand. There are fewer oysters this year, due to the weather this summer. Depending on the profession, it could even be missing, especially large ones for the holidays. (…) And like everyone else, the costs of production, labor, energy and fuel, have increased. On the receipt, count 1.50 euros more per dozen”concludes the journalist.
