“10% of service stations still in difficulty”, according to the Minister of Transport

The situation is improving on the fuel front. According to Clément Beaune, Minister Delegate for Transport, “just over 10% of service stations are still in difficulty” this Monday. At these stations, “missing at least one product”, said the minister on franceinfo. Friday evening, 13% of the stations were in lack of diesel or gasoline, according to the government. Two sites are still blocked.

The minister recognizes difficulties for departures on All Saints holidays

“The situation has nothing to do” with last week, where monday “we were at 30%” of service stations in difficulty”. For the All Saints holidays, “There were a number of difficulties but the situation has improved”, assures Clément Beaune. The motorway stations and the busiest national roads
have priority in the supply of fuels.

Two refineries still blocked

Sunday evening, two refineries of the TotalEnergies group were still blocked: that of Gonfreville in Seine-Maritime and that of Feyzin in the Rhône. The strike was renewed on Saturday morning
at the Feyzin fuel depot, said the CGT, which has identified 90% of strikers in the services responsible for deliveries. In Feyzin, employees will be invited to comment on the continuation of the movement on Monday. In Gonfreville, the strike is renewed “until October 27”the day on which TotalEnergies is due to announce its third quarter results, “unless the management contacts us first”announced the CGT.
