Initially, Lina believed in “a firework”. On the night of October 22 to 23, shortly after 2 a.m., she actually heard gunshots at the foot of his building in Castillon-la-Bataille. “I went out on the balcony, I tilted my head and I saw hooded guys shooting in the air at everything and anything”says the young woman of 21 years.
She does not know it yet, but the group of individuals is also suspected to have committed a crime, a few minutes later. 600 meters from the Robert Guichard residence, rue Michel Montaigne, a 24-year-old man died of a gunshot wound
shot at the door of a dwelling. A investigation has been opened by the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office for “murder in an organized gang, association of criminals with a view to committing a crime and violence with a weapon”.
A normally “calm” residence
In the Robert Guichard residence, the shootings caused no injuries but Lina and the other inhabitants had “very scared”. “We live just above, the front door of the building is not secure … it scares the crap”abounds Barbara, the mother of the young woman.
However, this family that has lived here for about ten years never felt insecure. “It was calm, there was no problem. No suspect arrested
The mayor of Castillon-la-Bataille, Jacques Breillat, also evokes an ordinary residence “extremely quiet, where social landlords have made a lot of investments and where the living environment is improving”.
