A business in Old Montreal was engulfed in flames overnight from Saturday to Sunday. The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) has opened an investigation into this suspicious fire.

The fire reportedly started around 2:35 a.m. in a business located on de la Commune West near the Saint-Dizier intersection in Old Montreal.
A possible suspect was seen near the scene before the business caught fire, said police spokeswoman Mariane Allaire Morin.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters, but the investigation was transferred to the SPVM arson section given the presence of traces of accelerant on the scene.
The fire caused no injuries and no arrests were made.
