On August 6, Daniel Lévi died of colon cancer. It was his wife, Sandrine Lévi, who announced the sad news to Internet users. A disappearance which caused a shock wave with his fans and in the world of music. During his long career, Daniel Lévi will have rubbed shoulders with many stars of the French scene, in particular Lara Fabian.
In an interview with Nikos Aliagas on the show 50mn Inside on TF1the 52-year-old singer returned to this sad subject, indicating that she had not been able to discuss with the interpreter of My brother before his death. This overwhelming event has also pushed the ex-coach of The Voice to hear more from one of his relatives stricken by the disease, namely Florent Pagny. “When I learned that another of my collaborators was sick recently, I have not stopped writing to him since”did she say. “Every week I send a note to this great gentleman. I write to him all the time (…) he does not let go”. Like all those who have heard from the tenor, she wanted to confide that he was “well”. The artist then wanted to share one of his regrets.
“I find that the modesty sometimes of our professions, the fact that we only met in places where there is an issue, an audience where there is a mask to wear, means that sometimes we dare not not say, with all the simplicity in the world, the love we have for someone, especially when they are in difficulty”.
Note that on November 7, many artists (Gad Elmaleh, Amir, Pascal Obispo, Patrick Bruel…), his musicians and the Gospel’N Life Harmony will meet on the stage of the Théâtre Mogador to pay tribute and interpret the most beautiful titles of Daniel Lévi.
