“We wondered if they were French. Because we thought they were maybe English or American, we didn’t really know, because there are no lyrics in the show, they are mimes and sounds”, wonder two spectators.
If their offbeat humor sounds a bit English, just like their very British black suit, Clément, Stéphane and Cyril Colle are indeed French! And as the name of their show suggests Drum Brothers, these three Girondin artists are brothers in the drums and brothers full stop!
Musicians, circus performers, clowns, acrobats, they mix percussion and juggling on stage, notably beating on drum toms. “So we tried to put all that in our show so that the viewer really doesn’t get bored. If he doesn’t like the drums, he can find himself juggling, if he likes humor, there are also a lot of them. It’s not going to boom-boom throughout the show, except in the heart!”
And when these three men orchestras arrive on stage, their heads topped with a drum box, it’s a bit like the helmets of the Daft Punk group!
Clément, Cyril and Stéphane, the eldest, started out in street art festivals, including that of Aurillac, and have already performed in China. In 2021, the Colle Brothers reached the final of the TV show “France has an unbelievable talent”.
The Bobino hall, which has seen Barbara and Brassens play, is cut out for the music hall and perfectly suits the musical universe of the Colle. On stage, they also play the flute and the guitar. Like the popular American group Blue Man, the trio hijack objects like with their bagpipes which are powered by a hose connected to a bellows.
“In the whole show, we don’t make the music normally. We really do it our way. And the drums, the bagpipes, the flute, all that universe, we transformed it to make it unique, and it That’s what gives the show all the style and originality.”

Well seen also the crossfade number, where the three musicians manage to play and juggle while being totally one, it’s their Shiva side! The staging, signed Eric Bouvron, offers visuals that strike the eye, at a frantic pace. With a burlesque side from mime. Side humor, it balances! And it also makes you want to dance… “It was trendy music in Saint-Trop with swing! Excellent!”finds a spectator.
Another pretty moment of poetry, the painting made up of six colorful umbrellas all lit up, on which videos of rain are projected, the trio also tapping on it! “How did it come about? We took an umbrella, we banged on it and said to ourselves: Ah, that’s pretty. We’re going to make a little wall of umbrellas. And then afterwards, we put lights behind it, and we saw that it worked well, and little by little, we exploited the concept.”
1h10 of a beautiful intensity which passes as quickly as a wave of a magic wand!
