“To bring down the government does not seem to me the best idea at the moment”, said Friday, October 21 on franceinfo Philippe Juvin, deputy Les Républicains des Hauts-de-Seine, while two motions of censure, tabled by the Nupes and the RN, will be debated Monday in the National Assembly. LR deputies have already announced that they will not vote for any. “As a whole, we Republicans don’t want to add clutter to clutter”, explains Philippe Juvin. He points the “state of France” where “we lack everything, even Doliprane, we lack gasoline, we lack order”.

The LR deputy nevertheless admits to being “delighted” Doors opened by Elisabeth Borne on the Social Security budget: “The Prime Minister on Thursday, when she spoke in the Assembly announcing 49.3 on the Social Security law, opened two or three interesting doors. In particular, she said that she was going to retain a few amendments which had were voted on in committee, some of which I had defended.” Philippe Juvin therefore says to himself “very pragmatic”.

“The situation is not going well at all. But if the government accepts some proposals that we have made, I am very pleased.”

MP LR still denounces a state budget that is not “not good”but refutes any censorship. “The question is whether you want to create governmental instability at a time when the country is not doing well. Whether the budget is not good, it is not goodinsists Philippe Juvin. Everything is financed with debt. We don’t worry about tomorrow at all. The hospital is collapsing. The forces of order, we see their difficulties. So it’s not okay.” But he asks: “Do you think we need to add a layer on top of that, that is to say bring down the government? In my opinion, no.”
