“Sunday’s demonstration in Périgueux is canceled following the requests of the family which we will respect”announces one of Twitter accounts of the Reconquête party in Dordogne this Friday, October 21 at the start of the evening. On social networks, the party had relayed a call for a rally on Sunday October 23 at 4 p.m. Place André Maurois, “in homage to Lola”the young girl killed in Paris on October 14.
“It was not Reconquête Dordogne that had called for the rally in Périgueux but a collective of apolitical citizens in tribute to the little girl”, specifies Nathalie Ballerand, the head of Reconquest in the Dordogne. She adds that personally she did not intend to go there. Supporters of Eric Zemmour have already gathered in Paris on Thursday evening, displaying signs with the face of the schoolgirl, despite the appeal of the girl’s parents not to politicize the affair. Other calls to demonstrate had been launched elsewhere in France.
Parents reject any recovery
The main suspect in the murder, of Algerian nationalitywas under an obligation to leave French territory, which provoked the indignation of part of the far right.
In Pas-de-Calais, an official rally in the presence of parents was organized this Friday. The family of Lola, killed in Paris on October 14, asked Friday through his lawyer that “urges to cease, and be withdrawn, all use of their child’s name and likeness for political purposes”at demonstrations and on the Internet.
