“This first step is almost already an achievement in itself, as the positions of each other were so far apart. We felt it last night, when this agreement was reached: the Heads of State and Government wanted above all to highlight their unity”adds Julian Gasparutto. “In concrete terms, the European Commission will have to work urgently on a certain number of measures: joint purchases to obtain better prices, solidarity mechanisms between Member States to ensure supplies”continues the journalist, who adds that the Commission will also look into a gas price cap.
