Liberal MP for Saint-Laurent, Marwah Rizqy, and Liberal MP for Jacques-Cartier, Gregory Kelley, have become parents. The politician gave birth to a boy.

“Pure happiness, thank you life! [Gregory Kelley] and I present to you Gabriel Kelley. A little in a hurry like his mother, but as calm as his father … for now, ”wrote Marwah Rizqy, Thursday morning on Twitter.
This is the first child for the couple. Mme Rizqy announced her pregnancy last May in a Facebook post.
She then recounted having undertaken an attempt at in vitro fertilization (IVF), last December, which had not worked, but that this failure had not prevented her from trying again. “And I am happy to officially share the good news with you. The second treatment worked and I am four months pregnant!” she had written.
The leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, Dominique Anglade, congratulated the couple on Thursday morning.
“So happy for you! We can’t wait to hug him,” she wrote on Twitter.
Prime Minister François Legault, like many other politicians, did not fail to congratulate the two deputies. “Well done Marwah and Gregory! That is true happiness! There is nothing more important! Enjoy!” wrote Mr. Legault in particular.
