Why does the pain always come back to the same place?

Anyone who has ever had a lumbago (for example) knows that the precise point that was once blocked by pain, shows up from time to time. We then begin to watch for the slightest symptom of more acute pain, praying not to be twisted again on our bed.

If we take the same path, we always arrive at the same place.

Is it Confucius? No, it’s Guillaume Douet, a philosopher in his spare time but above all an osteopath. It warns us against repeated movements that can lead us to the throbbing pain already experienced in the past.

But in my job I have boxes to put on the shelves. So for these actions it is useful to think about varying the positioning, not always performing from right to left, but forcing yourself to change the movement.

The fear of pain makes us fearfulwe tend not to solicit the place that we know is fragile.

And yet it is necessary to make work this zone, to reinforce it by adapted and repeated exercises.

To listen again so that our weak link strengthens and keeps the pain at bay.
