Another setback for Liz Truss. British Home Secretary Suella Braverman announced her resignation on Wednesday (October 19th). She admits having committed a “mistake” by sending an official document to a “trusted parliamentary colleague” from a home address. She smashes the government, which has “broken key promises”citing in particular the fight against illegal immigration.
His departure, if it does not seem linked to a rebellion within the government like the one which had pushed Boris Johnson to the departure in July, falls badly for Liz Truss, who seeks to regain control after the tearing apart on Monday, by her Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt for the massive tax cuts she had promised.
