The event occurred shortly after 5 p.m. at the intersection of Georges and Rhéaume avenues, in a residential area. The Service de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) then received several calls concerning gunshots.
One or more suspects would have opened fire on avenue Rhéaume and would have fled before the arrival of the police, explained the spokesperson for the police force, Caroline Chèvrefils. The SPVM did not immediately indicate whether a vehicle was involved in the escape of the suspect or suspects.
The scene was protected for investigators and the bullet holes found were located on an apartment building.
Witnesses have been interviewed and the investigation continues, but no suspects have been arrested.
