(Munich) Canadian star Alphonso Davies, who suffered a ‘brain contusion’ after being kicked in the face last weekend, was back in action on Sunday as Bayern Munich cleared SC Freiburg 5 -0, in the German first division.

The victory at the Allianz Arena allowed Bayern (5-1-4) to move up to second place, leaving Freiburg (5-2-3) in third place.
Davies played the full 90 minutes and was clocked at 36 mph during the game.
It’s a comeback for Davies, who missed his side’s Champions League victory in midweek against Czech club Viktoria Plzen.
Last Saturday, just before half-time against Borussia Dortmund, Davies needed help getting off the field after a ball battle with Jude Bellingham.
The England midfielder, using his body to push the ball away from Davies, kicked the ball in the air with his right foot.
Davies’ header was the first to touch the ball, but Bellingham’s foot struck in the face of his rival and not the ball. Davies then fell to the ground, clutching his face.
He received treatment and appeared unstable when helped off the pitch. He did not return to the game.
Dortmund then came from behind 2-0 with goals in the 74e and 95e minute to tie 2-2.
