This partnership even inspired Christian Troadec, mayor of Carhaix, with a new slogan for the city: Carhaix, the capital of festivals. And for good reason, the Motocultor Festival will be held at the same place as the Vieilles Charruesin the Kerampuilh meadow. The organizers and the municipality have signed an agreement in principle for two years.
A place already set up for the event
The Kerampuilh meadow offers many advantages since the municipality also makes the Glenmor space available to the festival. “Here, there is enough to host everything that is home lodge. We have 105 artists. On some days, that’s up to thirty groups to welcome” says Yann Le Baraillec, director of the Motocultor Festival. The Diwan college could also be mobilized to accommodate certain artists, amateurs in particular. Another major advantage: the Carhaix train station is 800 meters from the site.
New place, new constraints?
As for the ability of festival-goers to travel more thana hundred kilometers further, this is not a concern for the organizers. “The public already comes from all over Brittany, it won’t change much” according to Yann Le Baraillec. “There will be buses from Bordeaux, Toulouse or Paris” he reassures
While waiting for the programming, the first places will go on sale at the end of October 2022 with a pass at 135 euros for the four days of the festival.
