A black Jeep, registered in Ontario, reportedly ran a red light at full speed on Rosemont Boulevard before losing control and hitting several parked cars on Saint-Vallier Street in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite- Patrie-La-Petite-Patrie, Friday afternoon.

According to witnesses, the driver first hit the door of a car before flying away and hitting no less than three parked vehicles. The Jeep then allegedly overturned and the driver immediately fled before the police arrived on the scene. No injuries were reported.

In shock, a nursing assistant says she was almost run over by the vehicle. The lady was about to get out of her car to join a client when the driver overtook her at full speed and hit the vehicle parked in front of her.

An investigation is underway and a security perimeter has been established at the corner of boulevard Rosemont and rue Saint-Vallier. Witnesses were also interviewed by the authorities. The car should be towed Friday evening, said Jean-Pierre Brabant, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Service.
