The Rome International Film Festival opened its doors this October 13, 2022 with the screening of the film The Hummingbird by Francesca Archibugi, adaptation of the novel of the same name by Sandro Veronesi. An exceptional session presented in the presence of the superb team of the feature film: the director Francesca Archibugi as well as her actors, Pierfrancesco Favino, Bérénice Bejo, Kasia Smutniak, the great Nanni Moretti. On the red carpet as a precious guest, Anne Parillaud also made a sublime appearance.
Mermaid of the red carpet at each of her visits, Anne Parillaud (62) once again caused a sensation in the spotlight. The one we saw shine in Cannes as in Venice this year was in Rome wearing a black crochet dress revealing elegant underwear. The author of the mighty book The Abused knows how to highlight her impeccable figure and plays regularly and with style on the effects of transparency.
Not far from her and just as sublime, Bérénice Bejo preferred iridescent indigo leggings accompanied by a velvet jacket. The companion of director Michel Hazanavicius had opted for a more relaxed look during the photocall, loose hair, comfortable black suit with coral edging and moccasin. An event also shared by Marjane Satrapi, author of Persepolis, president of the jury for the “progressive cinema” section, with her acolytes Pietro Marcello, Juho Kuosmanen and Louis Garrel. The latter has just successfully unveiled his new achievement, The Innocent.
The Hummingbird takes us to the early 70s in Italy. It is at the seaside that Marco Carrera meets Luisa Lattes for the first time, a beautiful and rather special girl. It is a love that will never be consummated but will never be extinguished. Marco’s married life will take place in Rome, with Marina and their daughter Adele. In the grip of a sinister destiny which subjects him to terrible trials, Marco finds himself in Florence. Ready to protect him from the worst blows of fate, Daniele Carradori, Marina’s psychoanalyst, teaches Marco to face the most unexpected changes in life.
