Serge Lama is on all fronts. In the middle of a promotional tour for his ultimate album “To love”, the artist continues the interviews to the delight of his admirers. This Wednesday, October 12, 2022, the interpreter of “I am sick” made a remarkable appearance on the show It’s up to you piloted by Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. If he returned to his career, Serge Lama also spoke about certain aspects of his private life.
In one sequence, the famous lyricist lifted the veil on a terrible incident that left him “bedridden for 18 months”. And for good reason in 1965, Serge Lama was the victim of a road accident which killed his fiancée at the time and the brother of Enrico Macias. Miraculous certainly, but the singer is obliged to be “operate 14 times” for two years.
“As if I had a permanent launch…”
“A drama which nevertheless galvanized him”, says Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine to introduce her distinguished guest. For example in 1976, Serge Lama honored no less than 300 concerts. But to this day, his state of health is playing tricks on him… Because of the consequences of this terrible accident. “Today, I suffered all day, it’s a day with, or rather without”, revealed the interpreter of “At home”. “It’s true that it never left me and I had to deal with it. I took Aspégic (anti-inflammatory, editor’s note) and that was my only remedy because the doctors couldn’t find what was needed”.
The pain he feels on a daily basis can quickly become a nightmare in the long run. “If you want, it’s as if I had a permanent launch, sometimes it’s violent from violent”, said Serge Lama. What Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine replied: “Is that what made you give up on your farewell tour? “. “Yes, there is that, but also the fact that standing up becomes difficult for me, with my left leg, because the right carries my whole body”, regretted the icon that has “everything lived” and who was able to shine countless times before “huge crowds”.
