A man was arrested Thursday in connection with the murder of Karine Bélanger, a 36-year-old mother found on September 25 in a charred vehicle in Saint-Bernard, Beauce. This is Keven Deblois, 24, with whom the victim would have started a relationship just a few weeks ago.

The man from Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce will be charged with second degree murder, contempt of a corpse, vehicle theft as well as concealment and theft. He was arrested Thursday morning at the Quebec Detention Center, where he was already detained for breach of conditions.
