“Rouen is no longer the same team as last year. We feel that there is a metamorphosis at home” admits Romain Mareuil, the Mons scrum coach. “It’s a good opportunity to test yourself outside. Knowing that the last trip to Montauban went badly.”
Rouen, a surprise that is running out of steam
Leader after three days thanks to its three consecutive victories to start the season, Rouen has just chained three defeats in a row. But their 2 out of 3 at home, mixed with the Landes rout during the last trip to Montauban at the end of September, sounded like a warning for Mont de Marsan. Especially since the Landes remain on a sluggish victory against Soyaux Angoulême.
In Normandy, the staff led by Patrick Milhet is making 11 changes to the starting line-up compared to last week. With the premieres this season of Julien Cabannes and Simon Renda, the hundredth under the Mons colors of Romain Latterrade, and the young Joris Pialot at the opening alongside Christophe Loustalot.
