There was quite an atmosphere before the Canadiens’ inaugural game on Wednesday. Several rookies wore the blue, white and red sweater for the first time on the regular schedule. In the stands, you could see the players’ children and the young fans cheering them on.
For the warm-up period, Jake Allen’s family went near the rink to see him in action. His wife, Shannon Allen, who will give birth to their third child soon, was accompanied by their daughters, Reagan and Lennon.
David Savard’s children, Emma, Eliot and Zachary, attended the meeting.
Yvan Cournoyer, who has won 10 Stanley Cups, was pictured in front of his last, which he won in 1979.
The father and son duo of Alex and Éric Gagnon went to encourage Cole Caufield.
