It is the Quebecer Patrice Bergeron who launched this happy sequence for the visitors. His seventh goal of the season created the tie after a success from Kyle Okposo a few moments earlier. Charlie Coyle, David Pastrnak and Mike Reilly added some before the end of the Bruins’ initial engagement.
These four goals also chased goalkeeper Aaron Dell out of the game, who was replaced by former Montreal Canadiens Dustin Tokarski. It was the third game in a row in which head coach Don Granato made a change of goalkeeper. Dell gave up four times on 22 shots on Wednesday, while Tokarski turned back 24 of 25 pucks aimed at him. He was belatedly foiled by Taylor Hall.
In the Massachusetts clan, Jeremy Swayman started the meeting. Linus Ullmark, who was originally supposed to be on duty, suffered a minor injury during morning training. Swayman has been put to the test 25 times.
After having had an excellent start to the campaign, the Sabers are bogged down. They have lost their four most recent outings and nine of their last 11.
