Like taxis, Tuesday, October 11, more and more professionals are demanding priority access to pumps in order to be able to continue to work.

Ambulances, gendarmerie or police vehicles… These have priority. However, they are stuck in queues in the middle of motorists, even if some pumps are dedicated to them. So, what are the professions concerned? Each department draws up its own list. In the Aisne, the police, SAMU, ambulances and medical professions have priority.

The Pas-de-Calais department has added taxis, funeral directors and emergency vehicles. Despite the prioritization, there are still access difficulties. In a resort in Yvelines, only priority professions are served, but the vats are emptying, and the stock shortage is near. In addition, other professions are mobilizing to be classified as priorities. The Federation of Nurses calls, for example, stations dedicated to health professions. “Medics can travel up to 250 km a day, which means going to the pump every two or three days”, justifies Julien Buringer, secretary general of the National Federation of Nurses. As the situation deteriorates, some stations are forced to prioritize priority professions.
