The young people present, several of whom rubbed shoulders with the three victims aged 19 and 18, laid flowers one by one next to three crosses installed on Montée Sainte-Victoire in Saint-Robert, a few kilometers from Sorel-Tracy. They remained silent for a long time at the scene of the accident last Sunday.

Friends, acquaintances and colleagues laid flowers to pay tribute to the three victims.

The group was accompanied by two specialized speakers who came to support them in this ordeal.

A specialist on site

Marc-Antoine Langelier, Edward Chevalier and Zachary Comtois lost their lives Sunday evening shortly after 7 p.m. They were traveling at high speed in a red Honda Civic. A 16-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle. The teenager was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Calls for awareness

The hypothesis of drug or alcohol consumption was quickly ruled out, according to information provided by the police force.

Several relatives paid tribute to the three victims on social networks, while educating other Internet users to avoid speeding on the road.
