Ukrainian justice announced Tuesday, October 11 that the bodies of 78 civilians have been exhumed in two liberated towns in the east of the country. In the south, near Kherson, Ukrainian soldiers are liberating villages occupied for seven months by the Russians. The hunt for those who collaborated with the enemy is raging.

The front line is only six kilometers from Velyka Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region on Tuesday (October 11th). This city has just been liberated after seven months under Russian occupation. “We fought for this city for six months. We managed to cross the river that protected it (…). We must push them back to the other side of the Dnipro river before winter, and go as far as to Crimea”explains the commander Ruslan Ruha, a member of the Ukrainian army.

the commanding officer Ruslan Ruha leads one of the three brigades that liberated the city. In the headquarters set up by the Ukrainian forces, three residents of the town were arrested on Monday, all accused of having collaborated with the enemy. “For food, he gave information to the Russians”, affirms the commanding officer Ruslan Ruha. An accusation refuted by the main interested party. The man is accused of denouncing residents and looting shops. The commander calls a resident, who confirms the accusations. The man ends up saying that he was acting under the threat of Russian soldiers. A woman was also arrested: she is accused of having married a Russian soldier of Chechen origin. The arrested residents will soon be interrogated by the Ukrainian intelligence services.
