It is an institution in St Denis de l’Hotel. The establishment is more than a century old. The team is keen to preserve the charm and history of this place while giving it a little youthful touch with a refined but warm decoration; typical of traditional French bistros. This tradition is also found on the plate. The Café de la Gare offers family cuisine, inspired by local French gastronomy: the famous Thursday calf’s head, snails with parsley, rib steak and homemade fries, the unmissable andouillette de Jargeau, specialty of the region. But also an inventive cuisine like its revisited goat cheese salad with homemade breaded and fried manure on a bed of green salad. The huge bar is conducive to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, its large canteen-style dining room can accommodate large tables, and its small red room is more intimate.
