(Toronto) Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman AC Leonard, BC Lions wide receiver Lucky Whitehead, and Toronto Argonauts kicker Boris Bede were named the November players of the month in the Canadian Football League.
Leonard ended the last month of the 2021 CFL calendar by netting at least one sack in every Roughriders game in November. During that streak, he made four sacks, 10 tackles, including two tackles for losses, and produced a fumble, helping his club to two wins and end the season with a 9-5 record.
Whitehead has caught 22 passes for 247 yards and one touchdown in the Lions’ last three games of 2021. This season, Whitehead has set personal highs for receptions (60), yards on yards. receptions (932) and touchdowns (four).
Ultimately, Bede made each of his eight field goals in two games in November. He also made 10 pits and took care of the Argonauts kickoffs during that streak.
His five field goals in Week 14 were instrumental in his team’s 23-20 win over the Ottawa Rouge et Noir.
This season, Bede has had 84.8% of his 33 field goal attempts, while maintaining averages of 44.2 yards per punt and 67.4 yards per kickoff.
