The refinery strike continues on Monday, October 10, causing more shortages in France. Motorists sometimes wait hours to fill up.
In France, Monday, October 10, queues are increasing in front of service stations to find fuel. The driver of a tank truck, who comes to refuel a station, is immediately attacked by customers. His coming seems providential. “I have the impression that behind it is already waiting, there is a queue”, notes Christophe Ovion, driver of petroleum products. Some, worried about the next few days, are making reservations. “I must have gone to at least ten gas stations, the ten have run out of gas”justifies a biker in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône).
In Île-de-France, for fear of breakdown, school buses remained in the shed. Parents are responsible for picking up their children in the evening. “Obviously, it annoys everyone, but we understand them, it’s a real fundamental problem, wages”, assures a father. The unions announce the continuation of the strike, Tuesday, October 11.
