“The New Toy”, the All Saints family film

In Paris, the duo of actors formed by Jamel Debbouze and Daniel Auteuil, heroes of the film The New Toy, do not go unnoticed. Sunday October 9, the two actors defended their new feature film, which will be released in theaters on Wednesday October 19. During the preview, Jamel Debbouze said he saw The toy when he was a child; a movie he has “adored” and who is “stayed in [sa] memory”. “I would have liked to be this kid with this car at home, this crazy room, to have Pierre Richard as a toy. It’s a film that really marked me”, added the comedian. In this 2022 version, Jamel Debbouze is Sami, a night watchman from a suburban estate on whom the odious rich kid will set his sights. Driven by his financial problems, Sami accepts the role of toy in a family where money takes the place of feelings. A duo of opposites, which Jamel Debbouze and Daniel Auteuil had dreamed of embodying together. The New Toy declines in gags the confrontation of two worlds that never intersect.
