She has ten gold medals in pala and paleta. At 41, Maritxu Housset has dabbled in just about every pelota specialty. It is her passion that she can even practice in her job as a sports teacher. For the 2022 Pelota World Cup in Biarritz, she is tackling frontball, the brand new specialty arriving for these world championships, a game of pelota with her bare hands with a ball of foam, head to head.
