(Saint-Lin–Laurentides) A woman died following a collision on Route 158 in Saint-Lin–Laurentides, in Lanaudière, on Saturday morning.

A driver traveling eastbound deviated from her lane before hitting the vehicle of the other driver, who was coming in the opposite direction shortly before 8 a.m., said Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Catherine Bernard.
The jaws of life were needed to extricate the two women from their vehicle. They were transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle that was struck died of her injuries. The other is in stable condition.
At the end of the morning, an accident scene reconstruction expert was dispatched to the scene to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding this collision.
