The coach of the France team Didier Deschamps will announce on November 9 the list of players selected to play the 2022 World Cup in Qatar during the 8 p.m. television news of TF1, according to information from the sports management of Radio France, confirming those of Parisian and of The Team.
The list may include between 23 and 26 players, the difficulty for Didier Deschamps being to deal with numerous injuries in the French workforce, particularly in the center with N’Golo Kanté who has just returned and Paul Pogba whose remission from his operation of the knee is still uncertain. A priori, the coach will not take 26 players, to avoid having to manage a workforce where players would never be on the match sheet.
Les Bleus will play their first match of the World Cup in Group D on November 22 against Australia at 8 p.m. (Paris time), then against Denmark on November 26 at 5 p.m. and finally against Tunisia on November 30 at 4 p.m.
The World Cup, which will take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, is criticized in particular for the way in which the workers working on the necessary infrastructure have been treated. Several French cities have chosen to boycott and announced that they will not broadcast the matches on a giant screen.
