Thanks to this transaction, the Canucks will save $1.3 million on payroll. Dickinson will be a restricted free agent at the end of the 2023-2024 season while Stillman, also after the 2023-2024 campaign, will be a restricted free agent.
Dickinson played 62 games for the Canucks last year and had five goals and six assists. The 27-year-old Ontarian spent six years with the Dallas Stars organization after being drafted to the 29e rank in the 2013 draft.
Stillman, a six-foot-one defenseman, had two goals and 10 assists in 52 games with the Blackhawks last year. The 24-year-old Ontarian was selected in the fourth round of the 2016 draft by the Florida Panthers.
