the XV of France dominates South Africa (40-5)

This Saturday morning, Thomas Darracq’s Bleues won against South Africa (40-5) at Eden Park in Auckland in the opening match of the Women’s Rugby World Cup. A victory without forcing too much but reassuring. Les Bleues, transferred to Pool C, signed six tries. The French women see far: they dream of being crowned world champion
on November 12.

Laure Sansus: “player of the match”

The best international player, from Lauragais, scrum-half for Les BleuesLaure Sansus
, scored a double, she was named “player of the match”. The players have thus granted themselves one offensive bonus point which will be valuable in the race for the classification for the quarter-finals.

Among the twenty-three players selected for this first match, there were eight Blagnac women : Clara Joyeux, Charlotte Escudero, Marjorie Mayans, Émilie Boulard and Gabrielle Vernier, as well as Coco Lindelauf, Lina Queyroi and Mélissandre Llorens, substitutes. We also counted four Toulouse : Céline Ferer, Laure Sansus, Maëlle Filopon, and replacement Pauline Bourdon.

The XV of France will play its second group match next Saturday, at 9am, French time, against England, one of the first big posters of this World Cup.
