Gwendal Peizerat: The very surprising new life of the former skating star

Few of them can claim to have won an Olympic gold medal in figure skating in France and Gwendal Peizerat is one of those. In 2002, during the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City in the United States, he finished first in ice dancing with his partner at the time, Marina Anissina. A consecration for the handsome blond aged 50 today, who inscribes his name in gold letters in the ledger of French sport. A title in the form of supreme consecration since he will retire that same year, turning to other life goals. After entering politics in the early 2010s, we find him in several television shows.

The former skater notably participated in Koh Lanta in 2010 during the edition Clash of Heroes which brought together Frank Leboeuf or even Taïg Khris. A few years later, we find it on M6 this time, in the program ice show in which he participates as a coach. Finally, in 2018, we find him in the casting of The Island Celebrities, a show for which he received a very nice check. If all these activities kept him busy during all these years, Gwendal Peizerat is above all a music lover and for several years now, he launched into the song. It all started in 2014 when he released his first title before continuing with more fervor until the release of an album entitled When she… in 2018.

With a mixture of pop and reggae, Gwendal Peizerat has found his style

Today, the former figure skating star is an accomplished singer who goes from concerts to festivals to perform on stage. Still under the same name, he has since released a second album Anticicada and hopes to continue on its path for a long time to come. “Without being confined to a particular style, Gwendal offers personal, sensitive, sometimes even committed textsbut still entertaining“, summarizes Gwendal Peizerat on his official website to describe his musical style, before concluding: “The album offers a variety of musical genres, illustrating his musical palette in all nuances, with pop, reggae and a touch of world music..”
